For some, a suit could mean a second chance.
Rescue Mission of Utica and Men’s Wearhouse, the leading specialty retailer of men's dress apparel in North America, announces their partnership in the first ever National Suit Drive campaign – dedicated to empowering unemployed men by providing them with professional work attire that will build their self-esteem and make a good first impression during job interviews. Throughout the month of September, men nationwide are encouraged to donate their gently used suits, sport coats, slacks, dress shirts, ties and belts to help other men striving for self-sufficiency. We are encouraging people to bring men’s professional clothing donations to the New Hartford Men’s Wearhouse store on Commercial Drive. The clothing donated in the Utica area will be delivered to the Rescue Mission for distribution to the men we serve as they transition back into the workforce.
“We are very excited to work together with Men’s Wearhouse on the National Suit Drive campaign,” said Rev. Bill Dodge, executive director of the Rescue Mission. While we receive a number of donations throughout the year, this campaign is helping us to gather more dress attire for men so they can make a good first impression during an interview. Our organization is hoping to provide even more men in this area with that opportunity through this initiative.
Help men in our community get back on their feet. Bring your gently used suits, sport coats, slacks, ties, and belts to the Men’s Wearhouse on Commercial Drive, New Hartford, to benefit at-risk men transitioning into the workforce at the Rescue Mission of Utica. Men’s Wearhouse will donate a new tie for every suit we receive.
And as a thank you for your generosity, you’ll receive 10% off your next purchase at Men’s Wearhouse, just for contributing.
All donations are tax deductible.
