‘Walk a Mile in My Shoes’ event set for Feb. 2

The Rescue Mission of Utica’s eighth annual fundraiser “Walk a Mile in My Shoes,” to raise awareness of the everyday struggles faced by the homeless and hungry, will take place Saturday, Feb. 2.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. from Westminster Moriah Olivet Presbyterian Church, at 714 Washington St. (across from Hanna Park). The walk will follow at 11 a.m. outside City Hall.

The fee is $25 for individual walkers, and $15 per walker for groups of 10 or more and includes an event t-shirt, goodie bag, food and beverage.

Top fundraiser awards will be given to the two top teams. For every $25 raised above the registration fee, your name will entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $50 iTunes card or a $50 Hannaford gift card.

Registration by Friday, Jan. 25, is encouraged.
