Cree Donates Turkeys to Rescue Mission of Utica

November 18, 2020

Cree donates turkeys to Utica Rescue Mission Fifteen volunteers from Cree Inc. delivered approximately 200 turkeys Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, to the Rescue Mission of Utica. The turkeys will be offered alongside other food items to families in need Thursday at the mission’s Dr. Alap A. Butala Food Pantry, said Susan Woods, director of development and communications for the Rescue Mission. This year, the participants drove from Albany to pick up the turkeys from Chanatry’s in New Hartford, said Rex Felton, Cree’s vice president of operations. ‘This year’s been difficult and we haven’t been able to do quite as many community outreach events as we would have liked,’ Felton said. ‘But we really wanted to keep this as a tradition.’ H.
