Walk a Mile in My Shoes event scheduled
The Rescue Mission of Utica is hosting its ninth annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes event to raise awareness of homelessness and hunger on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. at Westminster Moriah Olivet Presbyterian Church, 714 Washington St. and the walk will follow from 11 a.m. to noon outside City Hall, 1 Kennedy Plaza.
The registration fee is $25 for individual walkers; and $15 per person for teams (groups of 10 or more). Registration includes an event T-shirt and goodie bag, along with food and beverage.
Top fundraiser awards will be given to the two top teams.
