Our Programs

The Skills for Success Scholarship was created through the generosity of an anonymous donor who believes in the power of education, training, and opportunity to help individuals build a stronger future. This scholarship is available to eligible graduates and participants of Rescue Mission of Utica and associated programs who are pursuing the next step in their personal or professional growth. Funding may be used for a variety of educational and skill-building opportunities, including GED/HSE preparation, certificate programs, workforce training, online courses, and in-person college programs such as those offered through Mohawk Valley Community College and other approved institutions. Applicants are encouraged to share their goals, their plan for success, and how this scholarship support would help them continue moving forward.

Where applicable, a $500 stipend per semester will be applied to cover incidental costs.

Some programs will require a TAP and Pell application to be completed before the Skills For Success Scholarship application is processed.  Funds from TAP and Pell will be applied first.

Applicants must be in good standing with the programs they have participated in.
