Employees donate big to Utica Rescue Mission
NYCM Insurance in Edmeston is known for its community involvement, fundraising efforts and support of many organizations, charities and other nonprofits.
For the second year, employees took time to celebrate Giving Tuesday, which is the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving. They collected various items to donate to those in need. Any items were accepted, including nonperishable food items, used and new clothing, winter outerwear, shoes, hygiene products and household items.
Employees loaded all of the donations, more than 500 items, into vehicles Dec. 14 and delivered them to the Utica Rescue Mission.
This was just one example of ways in which NYCM employees give to charity throughout the year. The company documented some type of contribution to 566 different causes in 2018 alone.
