Community Resource Room

The Community Resource Room (CRR) at Rescue Mission of Utica provides free access to technology and personalized support for individuals and families who need help navigating essential online services.

Located at the Mission’s Community Services entrance at 1013 West Street, the CRR was created to remove barriers faced by people without reliable internet access, devices, or digital skills. Many critical services—including job applications, housing searches, healthcare enrollment, and education programs—now require online access. The Community Resource Room helps ensure no one is left behind.

Guests have access to computers, Wi-Fi, and audio/video equipment, along with one-on-one assistance from trained staff. Support is available for job searches and applications, housing searches, benefits enrollment, college and high school equivalency programs, telehealth appointments, and building basic digital skills such as email use and completing online forms.

The Community Resource Room is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Services are free and available to community members who need help accessing or using technology. Parking is available off Miller Street.

Made possible through funding from the New York State Office of Faith and Non Profit Development Services, the Community Resource Room reflects Rescue Mission of Utica’s ongoing commitment to dignity, access, and opportunity—helping neighbors overcome barriers and take meaningful steps toward stability and independence.
