Emergency Shelter For Men
The 59-bed Emergency Shelter provides safe lodging, meals, clothing, critically needed counseling, education, advocacy and referrals to agencies that meet the needs of the clientele. The overall goal is to help homeless people improve their quality of life, become self-sufficient and get reestablished in the community. Ours is the only emergency shelter of its kind from Syracuse to Schenectady, New York.
Nights of care were provided to homeless men.
Success rate in men moving to permanent and/or transitional housing.
Time the shelter was at or beyond capacity.
Our average length of stay per individual. This continues to be due to economic challenges and lack of affordable housing and employment.
Program Details
While in our care, residents are provided with:

Meals
Free, nutritious meals are served to anyone in the community who is hungry for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Counseling
Counseling, advocacy and referrals to help with other critical needs.

Clothing
Free clothing.

Skills for Success Job Training Program
A construction skill building program where individual strive to gain meaningful career opportunities and employment through a construction trades program.
